I come from a very fit background, I have been training and racing in triathlon, swimming and running all my life. My kids play sport, my friends and social circle has always involved sport and activity. However, I fully understand that there are those of us without this foundation, and for lots of adults getting fit can be daunting, staying fit post-operation or in recovery even harder.
I have personal experience in this, not only coming back from a bike crash, and frequent injury. When I was training for a half Ironman in Barcelona, I was hospitalised with Pulmonary Emboli, Pleurisy, a DVT and developed chronic Asthma. I was flattened for months and felt every step of my comeback. I believe we are all built with an engine, we get to train, tune, and tweak its operation at any stage, some of us might need help. Let me be your mechanic.
I offer fitness training, with or without strength training. I am a qualified coach with years of experience and know that together we can create a plan that is:
While most people may know that what you eat matters, it’s often difficult to find reliable sources of information. What to eat before, after and even during exercise, so that you perform to your potential, recover properly post workout and build muscle. Reducing body weight does not always equate to loosing fat. I can help you understand the difference.
Looking at your food we start from the ground up giving a solid foundation for a healthy life. Using fitness tools used to help your track your activity, heart rate and calories we will set goals, and help you better understand your habits, your hunger and your health.
How many Calories should I eat per day? Should I eat during exercise? Why am I so hungry?
How does my activity level affect my calorie intake? Does swimming make you hungrier?
