I was born to the water, I feel at home there. I have years of experience swimming competitively, at national, intervarsity and masters levels. I come alive teaching and coaching swimming, and Aqua Fitness. I love to add swimming and aqua jogging to training plans as cardio session, or often as a recovery or mobility session.
I coach with many clubs and organisations; Masters, Juniors, Older Adults & Elites. I offer private coaching indoors and open water for swimmers looking to use swimming to get fit or to improve their technique and endurance.
A typical first session is a review of swim stroke and ability with some small corrections and a feedback session. After the analysis and feedback session - each swimmer will receive a detailed training plan, the plan will include sets and drills personalised for the swimmers needs, the aim is to acheive maximum efficiency, speed and power in the water. Training sesssions will cover skills, endurance and speed work.
Regular checkins and discussions will give each swimmer motivation to push through the challenges swimming presents.
